Versatile applications

If you conduct HPLC, ultra-high-performance nano-liquid chromatography (UHPLC)-mass spectrometry, or use a single cell proteomics instrument, the nano-LC UHP syringe pump is for you. You’ll find it toiling away in a wide variety of fields:

  • Pharmaceuticals
  • Bioanalytics
  • Proteomic research
  • Metabolomic research
  • Environmental monitoring
  • Chemical manufacturing
  • Carbon sequestration
  • Oil & gas production

Built to last, built to perform

The Teledyne SSI-supplied nano-LC UHP syringe pump is based on a captive linear actuator powered by an NEMA 17 double stack stepper motor, which delivers greater accuracy and lower pulsation.  It is Intended for single stroke delivery of volumes under capacity (~190 uL).

Frequently Asked Questions

What is nano-LC?
Nano-Liquid Chromatography (nano-LC) is used in the analysis of complex samples requiring separation, detection and analysis. Miniaturized liquid chromatography instruments use small-diameter columns and work with low flow rates (in the .01 to 10 µl/min range) to improve the sensitivity of the chromatographic process. A nano-liquid chromatography instrument, paired with a mass spectrometer, allows for separation and analysis at minute levels.

What is the difference between micro LC and nano LC?
Columns used in Nano-Liquid Chromatography are very narrow, while Micro-Liquid Chromatography columns have a larger diameter (yet still smaller than conventional LC). While both nano-Liquid Chromatography and micro-Liquid Chromatography use low flow rates, nano LC uses exceptionally low flow rates for heightened sensitivity at extremely small sample volumes.

What is the flow rate of nano LC?
In nano-Liquid Chromatography, the flow rate is generally in the pico- and nano-liter/min range.
